20 Books of Summer is hosted by Cathy at 746 Books. The challenge runs from Thursday, June 1 until Friday, September 1. Here is the link to the challenge and sign-up page.
The following are the 15 books I plan to read. I’ve chosen 15 instead of 20 books because 15 is already overly ambitious. My list includes a good mix of traditional and self-published books:
- Clammed Up (Maine Clambake #1) by Barbara Ross
- Live and Let Chai (Seaside Café #1) by Bree Baker
- Still Life (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache #1) by Louise Penny
- The Novice’s Tale (Sister Frevisse #1) by Margaret Frazer
- The Wonderland Murders (Cozy Craft #1) by Millie Ravensworth
- Curse the Day (Spellbound #1) by Annabel Chase
- Crocodile on the Sandbank (Amelia Peabody #1) by Elizabeth Peters
- On What Grounds (Coffeehouse Mystery #1) by Cleo Coyle
- Flipped for Murder (Country Store #1) by Maddie Day
- Littered With Trouble (Whiskers and Words #1) by Eryn Scott
- Berried Secrets (Cranberry Cove #1) by Peg Cochran
- Fowl Murder (Kenya Kanga #1) by Victoria Tait
- Here Today, Scone Tomorrow (Baker’s Rise #1) by R.A. Hutchins
- Killer Jam (Dewberry Farm #1) by Karen MacInerny
- Chaos in Little Leaf Creek (Little Leaf Creak #1) by Cindy Bell

Have you read any of these?
I’m currently re-listening to the Seaside Cafe series by Bree Baker. It’s a great cozy mystery series for the summer. I highly recommend it!

Nice list!
I have only read the one by Louise Penny – in fact her whole series, but that’s actually not cozy mystery.
Good luck!

Even if Louise Penny does not technically write cozies, her series sounds up my alley.

The only one I’ve read is Still Life, and while it might not technically be a cosy mystery, I certainly felt that the setting was cosier than most cosies! Have a great summer of reading however many you get through! 🙂

Thank you! The setting does seem cozy. I hope I enjoy Still Life.

Yes, she’s very good.
Only her very last book in the series was so so crazy dark. So well written as usual, but the topic was so very tough emotionally. I only finished it because it was written by Louise Penny. I would have DNFed it if it had been written by any other author.
I hope the one she’s working on is less dark this time, or on a bit less sensitive topic
